CBCP open to dialogue with DOH on RH billMANILA, July 15, 2010— After meeting with Education Secretary Armin Luistro, Catholic bishops said might soon dialogue with Health Secretary Enrique Ona to discuss the issue on contraceptives. San Fernando Archbishop Paciano Aniceto said the church is more than willing to discuss with the government its concerns on the Reproductive Health (RH) bill. “If he is open to such meeting we will honor it. Shrine of Ugandan martyrs visited by 500,000 for feast dayMOROTO, Uganda, June 30, 2010--Earlier this month over 500,000 people gathered in northeastern Uganda to celebrate the feast day of Saint Charles Lwanga and companions, who are known as the Uganda Martyrs. Pope to write for RPâs first handwritten BibleMANILA, July 13, 2010— Pope Benedict XVI will be writing for the first handwritten Bible created by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on Biblical Apostolate (CBCP-ECBA) in collaboration with the Philippine Bible Society (PBS).
