MOTHER
Written by Mr FRANKY CHERUBIM
Mrs SADHANA FRANKY

Our great country produced many great people: our Mother Teresa was one of them who defined religion that is to practice in term of service to mankind, not to confine it to preaching – Her life journey concludes the blessed philosophy to her beloved country India and the world.

That was July 1994; I lost my daughter –the battle I fought almost nine years continuously. That time I was posted in New Delhi. After few days, my father expired .I was almost cornered by the situation around me. (I do not want to elaborate the other reasons because it will be irrelevant to the subject) I was in serious depression. One day I was standing at the bus stand, one person asked me to meet mother Teresa. He explained that she never afraid of anybody .She helps people ,he added. It really made me to think because I needed her to support me. To materialize meeting with Mother took months together. By the time I was transferred back to Bilaspur. Finally I went to Calcutta to meet her. When I explained about my daughter illness, She interrupted and asked me “give me your daughter”. I completed my sentence and replied my mother that she is no more. I found a tears broke in her eyes. I cried before her. She touched my soul in such a way that I found my burden of depression released. She added “do not worry Franky; your mother will take care.” I received courage and strength to fight for my existence again. I was in touch with her in last few years of her journey.
I was very poor in drawing and painting. But I decided to make a portrait of my mother Teresa. I completed finally, with the help of graph and her blessing .I put on the wall in my drawing room of my official residence just above my television set.
The last days of mother Teresa’ journey, that was full of anxiety and prayer. I wanted to meet her. I went to Calcutta. That was morning time and there was huge crowed. People were gathered to meet her. There was a passage connected between chapel and her house. I knelt down there with my folded hand to receive her blessing. Finally she knocked at my head. I raised my head. She was on wheel chair. She smiled and put her hand on my head and blessed me.
The last night of her journey, I was looking for the news about my mother, but I could not get the news. It was about midnight. I found a live eye in the portrait. It was extraordinary experience. I went to sleep. In the morning, my wife woke me up and said that Mother is no more. That blessed journey ended but many things she left behind to make her immortal. But I understood that I am always in her prayer to the lord, the father.
I cannot forget the mass service where the dignitaries of many countries were present where it was to define her services to the mankind. Finally it was pronounced in the funeral Mass in the hall that she practiced Christianity. It is a very simple sentence but it is a direction to all religious leaders of the country. Action speaks more louder than voice.
people are still experiencing a presence of mother Teresa as a true follower of Lord Jesus and Mary in the work being continued by her congregation.
She was a very good communicator. She used to communicate within herself and others through her work. The Induction of mother’s work to the people as a work of Jesus redefines evangelization. She has given the philosophy to the world which breaks the boundaries of limitation of human, in the field of noble services for the poorest of poor in Jesus name. she put her soul at the centre of her every work she used to do, rest she left on the Lord. Her work was a prayer for mankind and still continued through her congregation missionaries of charity.

There is always the danger that we may just do the work for the sake of the work. This is where the respect and the love and the devotion come in - that we do it to God, to Christ, and that's why we try to do it as beautifully as possible. *
Mother Teresa
She had chosen most difficult path to reach Lord the Father and she followed his direction with love and sharing pain of homeless, deprived and sick poor people.
We should also remember one great leader who allowed her to work comfortably and supported her during his tenure as a chief minister: JYOTI BABU, She used to pronounce with full respect and blessing as her leader of the state west Bengal.
We remember if we are not wrong : I advised her to not work hard at this age; But Mother does not listen to me, Jyoti Babu expressed his anxiety to the News channel. Everybody was worried about her health. Her contribution and blessing were needed to remain Calcutta as a CITY OF JOY. She loved people of Bengal, in return; the people there still love Mother.
She is immortal and will be remembered through out, not as she was honored by the Nobel Prize, but as a symbol of purity ,love and peace and she will remain a role model of many generations to come.
We pray to our mother Teresa to heal the people, who are suffering due to any reason or sickness, Amen.
