The National SIGNIS INDIA Executive met on 7 May 2010 at Media Commission, Yusuf Sadan, Archbishop's House, Goldak Khana, Ashok Road, New Delhi. President Fr. Vincent Chinnadurai chaired the sessions. At the outset he thanked all the Office Bearer’s for their presence for the meeting. INDIA’S north-eastern state Orissa continues to be in grip of gory anti-Christian riots. Scores of Christians, including some nuns have been burnt alive. Countless churches, houses and shops have been gutted. Even Christian orphanages have not been spared. To justify massacre of hapless Christians, Hindus spread the canard that eminent Hindu leader, Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati, had been killed by Christians on Saturday night. The Christians in the State of Orissa are living in tension and fear. The law and order is not at their rescue and they are living in pathetic conditions for the last 72 hours.
